Bring in beanie babies, stuffed animals, toys, or school supplies to Mr. Sabol at Binghamton West Middle School and we will add them to the shipments going to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo. Children there are waiting for some good even if it is in the form of a small toy from a solider.

Nicholas W. Spencer, 14, of Binghamton, died unexpectedly Friday, April 24, 2009, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, of heart complications. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Margaret Cline; and an uncle, Kevin Cline. He is survived by his loving parents, Carolyn and Erin Spencer; his brother, Max Spencer; paternal grandparents, Patricia and William Spencer; several aunts, uncles and cousins, including Alex Cline, Ryan Morgan and Marina Skrabalak. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton, and an 8th grade student at West Middle School. He participated in Science Club, Science Olympiad and Challenge and was the recipient of the Joseph P. Sullivan Memorial Award. He enjoyed reading, video games, swimming and had a passion to go to Egypt.
